Installation details that matter
Prep the original surface. Protect the finish.
The Nu-Life bond depends on proper surface preparation and giving the adhesive time to cool before refinishing over the repair.
Prep to Original Gelcoat
Any existing coating, paint, filler or prior repair material must be removed from the bonding area before installation. The fusion adhesive bonds to the unit’s original gelcoat — not to refinishing paint or filler.
Before Spraying Over
Allow the adhesive to cool for approximately 60–90 minutes after installation before spraying over the inlay.
Keep the Anti-Slip
Apply a light dust coat over the inlay so you achieve the color match without burying the built-in anti-slip texture. Wait 24 hours before returning the unit to service.
